If you know that God’s love embraces all, no matter their gender, race, age, ability, or sexual orientation,
if you resonate with everyone being a unique and unrepeatable person,
if you are willing to tear down the walls that divide us,
if you know that taking the Bible seriously
is not a matter of taking it literally,
if you want to know, as an adult, how your faith can keep expanding,
if you’re wondering what Jesus has to do with justice,
if you’re looking to raise your children in a congregation that nurtures through innovative teaching and action,
if you are seeking a community to be on the cutting edge,
and even if you are not, we warmly invite you
to help us build a brighter future for all!

FCC is pleased to offer two Christmas Eve Services this year.
The first service will be at 6pm and is our Festive Family Service. This service features glorious special music, a message and a gift for the children, a reflection from the pastor, and it ends with a candle-lit singing of Silent Night.
The second service is at 11:30pm and is our Christmas @ Midnight service. This is a very beautiful and peaceful service featuring chanting, scripture, holy communion and special music on the guitar. It is designed to last 1/2 hour and end on Christmas Day.
There are no services on Christmas day. Please enjoy the holiday with your family!

FCC celebrates our great heritage as FOUNDERS OF AMERICA’S OLDEST FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION! On July 4, 1785, our Rev. Henry Wight gave the first Patriotic Address that has since evolved into the Patriotic Exercises and Parade. Rev. Wight spoke for more than 40 years at these events. Several FCC pastors have been similarly honored through the years.
Check out the banner in front of our church celebrating our place in Bristol history. Without FCC there would be no “claim to fame” and we are so honored to be FOUNDERS OF AMERICA’S OLDEST FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION!

Images of communities torn apart by tornadoes and neighborhoods underwater from spring floods fill US news and media reports. Our hearts and prayers are with all who have been impacted by devastating spring storms and those ministering with them.
Being a supporter of the United Church of Christ, we want you to be among the first to learn of the UCC’s US Spring Storms Appeal which has just been launched.
http://www.ucc.org/disaster/spring-storm-appeal.html
On Sunday, May 15 we will be taking a special offering in the worship service to donate to this important work. Please make your check out to: US Spring Storms Appeal.
Thank you and God bless you.

Holy Week at FCC was so very special this year. We really reached out to the community and saw lots and lots of new faces. Some highlights:
Maundy Thursday - The potluck was so delicious! We have great cooks. And the Tenebrae Service – did you notice that the stained glass window above the cross went dark just as we extinguished the last candle? That was very special.
The Great Vigil of Easter- nearly 100 people attended. Many new faces from town. The rain abated, the New Fire was kindled. Andre Aresenault sang the Exultet with perfection and Elise Arsenault brought scripture alive for us. 5 new members joined (making 20 new members in one month and 32 “souls” including children!) Welcome to Pete and Heather Harley, Jean-Paul and Leannne Arsenault and Marilyn Oglo! The champagne and hors d’oeuvres reception after was festive and fun.
Sunrise Service – again, a great community crowd mixed in with FCC folk. We could not see the sun, but we felt its warmth! And who can forget the foghorn punctuating the liturgy? Great job, Confirmation Class in leading the service along with our staff and James Thomas.
Main Easter Service – What can we say? Church was packed, every pew – a record Easter attendance. The Brass group really helped us punch it up and the choir……oh my how they sang. They should go professional! Thanks Othniel and the choir for your beautiful ministry. Wow!
Thanks to everyone for a wonderful Holy Week. A special thanks to the Board of Deacons who did great keeping up with all Pastor Dan threw at them.
FCC is so positive and wonderful. A great place to be!
